Instructor Program

Description: Instructor training includes teaching and conduct instruction that prepares the student to become a licensed instructor for schools of cosmetology or postsecondary schools of cosmetology. This is a 600-hour instructor training program that meets Arkansas state standards.

Goals: The program provides instructor education in all phases of cosmetology. The graduate will be a knowledgeable, skilled professional instructor. The graduate will have the background and skills necessary to pass the state board exams.

Instruction in teaching includes a combination of teaching styles and techniques to present the information for maximum student learning. Instructors strive to stimulate growth in knowledge and skills for each student. 

Our cosmetology instructor curriculum is designed to inspire students to think “beyond the chair” and to pursue opportunities in salons and spas. Our instructor cosmetology program can teach you how to create current hair and makeup trends as well as classic looks that will never go out of style. You’ll be able to practice and grow these skills in our student salon and spa, giving you the real-world experience you need in order to be successful in the industry.

Instructor students move from classroom instruction to clinic (hands-on) instruction, where practical knowledge is applied to a large client base.

Graduates from this program receive any certifications earned during the course of the program.
